Born and raised in south Louisiana, Donna returned to Baton Rouge after briefly living in Maryland.  Her family consists of a wonderful husband and three beautiful children.

Donna feels she should have known she would grow up to write stories because "as a child I spent many happy hours creating adventures for myself and my hourse, Lightning.  Lightning was really a blue 'hoppity-hop,' but that didn’t diminish his equine abilities in my imagination."

A few years ago Donna began seriously writing and divides her writing time between freelance writing for magazines and educational publishers and working on novels and picture books.
