David Michael Slater
Author of the Sacred Books Series
David Michael Slater is the author of the controversial teen fantasy series, Sacred Books, now being developed for feature films. He is also the author of sixteen picture books, including Cheese Louise; The Ring Bear (an SSLI Honor Book); Jacques & Spock (a Children’s Book-of-the-Month Alternative Selection); and Flour Girl (a 2008 Mom’s Choice Award winner). David writes for adults as well. His novel, Selfless, was called a "hilarious tour-de-force." His first book of short stories, The Book of Letters, was published in 2010 and contains the story, "The Last Lottery," which was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
